2024-12-01: Re: Potential 2026 primary battle by Ken Paxton for John Cornyn's Senate seat: "Cornyn has cast Paxton as too shady to be a U.S. senator, an argument that could appeal to Republicans who worry about Paxton’s legal entanglements."

2024-12-15: The RISD Community Budget Steering Committee (CBSC) recommendations:
1. Place a tax rate election on the ballot in 2025.
Sadly, given that the State has not increased the per-pupil allotment in six years, local school districts have no choice.

2024-12-15: The RISD Community Budget Steering Committee (CBSC) recommendations:
2. Change policy to become an open enrollment district.
Should be done to fill empty seats. Should have been done all along to provide the choice that advocates of vouchers say they are for.

2024-12-15: The RISD Community Budget Steering Committee (CBSC) recommendations:

2024-12-15: The RISD Community Budget Steering Committee (CBSC) recommendations:
4. Study whether the benefits of the current A/B day double block model offsets the higher staffing costs.
Of course, cost/benefit studies should always be done. Is there more to this than this summary says?
