With one week to the deadline to file for a place on the May ballot, here's the state of play for the elections for City of Richardson City Council and Richardson ISD Board of Trustees.
City of Richardson
- Place 1: There will be no incumbent on the ballot.
Curtis Dorian has filed.
G. Scott Waddell has picked up an information packet for candidates but has not filed. - Place 2: Incumbent Jennifer Justice has filed.
RT Strecher picked up a packet. - Place 3: Dan Barrios has filed.
Stephen Springs has filed.
Rob and Jimmie Grieshaber jointly picked up a packet but neither has filed.
Andrew Laska, who lives in Place 3, picked up a packet. - Place 4: Incumbent Joe Corcoran has filed.
- Place 5: Incumbent Ken Hutchenrider has filed.
- Place 6: Incumbent Arefin Shamsul has filed.
- Place 7 (Mayor): There will be no incumbent on the ballot.
Mayor Pro Tem Janet DePuy has filed.
Council member Bob Dubey has filed.
Alan North has picked up a packet.
Richardson ISD
- Single-member District 1: Not on the ballot in 2023.
- Single-member District 2: Not on the ballot in 2023.
- Single-member District 3: Incumbent Vice President Debbie Renteria has
filed.
Bonnie Abadie has filed. - Single-member District 4: Not on the ballot in 2023.
- Single-member District 5: Not on the ballot in 2023.
- At-large Place 6: Incumbent Eric Eager has filed.
- At-large Place 7: Not on the ballot in 2023.

Reportedly, RT Strecher will not be filing for CoR Place 2. He says he just wanted to see the information packet.
