Since Peggy got her info from the Bond Review Board and the City reports that information to them, seems the fault lies with those two organizations and not Ms Venable.
But then you have an interesting track record of your own, Bill.
I invite everyone to go and reread the posting at Richardson Debt Per Resident. You will see that Ms. Venable clearly mangled the data from the Texas Bond Review Board, by (1) conflating principal with principal & interest, and (2) even worse, by assuming that all Richardson residents were 100% responsible for Dallas County debt and RISD debt when this is obviously not true.
But Ms. Duncan-Hubert doesn't address the inaccuracies in Ms. Venable's statement; she just insists that since the data comes from a State website, it must be accurate...
Well, it isn't when you misrepresent what the data was describing...
I guess that this is the same Peggy Venable who came to Richardson just before the 2010 Bond election, and grossly misstated the facts about Richardson's debt? See RumorCheck: Richardson Debt per Resident and RumorCheck: The AFP Debt Flyer.
ReplyDeleteNot a very inspiring track record...
