The Berkner Rams lost a regular-season football game Friday night. That hasn't happened since September 24, 2004, a span of 20 games and more than two years.
The Rams lost to the Allen Eagles 42-14, a game Allen dominated in all facets. Berkner fumbled in their own territory on their first two possessions. Berkner committed 11 penalties. Allen's first five possessions led to five touchdowns. Berkner was never really in this one.
It was a great streak. It resulted in two district championships, an undefeated regular season in 2005, and a state-quarterfinal appearance last year. It's a great time to be a Ram.
